Our culture equality
Lots of companies talk about their ‘culture’. At JTL, we think of culture in more concrete terms. How valued do you feel? Do your opinions and insights count? Are you encouraged to use your initiative and to develop and expand your expertise?
These are the important questions and – as an organisation built around quality and high standards of service delivery – we work hard to offer you a positive and rewarding career environment.
As an organisation that believes in doing things differently, we encourage everyone on our team to think creatively and to explore ways of improving the effectiveness of what we do. This allows us to deliver results that make a real difference to individual learners, of course. But it also allows us to respond creatively to change – and to play a leading role in promoting the industry at a local, regional and national level.
Looking after the welfare and development of our people shapes everything we do. All our trainees know that they’re working in a safe, professional environment, in which support, guidance and advice are always available.
We’re passionately committed to fairness and equality of opportunity, too. Not just in words but in actions – for example, by actively encouraging applications for apprenticeships from under-represented groups.
It all comes down to valuing your individual talents and strengths, and this is reflected in our determination to acknowledge and recognise people when they do well. For example, we offer Employee Recognition Awards to team members who’ve offered exceptional support to their colleagues or gone beyond expectations in delivering customer service.
